Moving on... kinda

Just posted, over on SP, what may be my last SP blog for anyone who is still “out there, over there” as well as myself.  It's just a collection of random thoughts and sentiments.  SP played a very unique role in my life which I don't think I recognized, or truly appreciated, until it ended.  (hmmm Isn't that a familiar story... ??)  What started out as a source of information and motivation for all things healthy weight- related, it ended up a place where I found and nurtured friendships.  They mean/meant a lot to me and I am grateful to be able to continue at least a few via different venues.

Despite checking in and commenting on SP almost daily, I never was a regular at writing blogs.  Ditto I don't journal.  But going back over my past blogs gave me some insight into what it must mean to those who do.  Re-reading those old blogs sure was a sentimental journey but I resisted the temptation to save them.  I just enjoyed and remembered.

If you're a "SP refugee," I would like to send my thanks for your friendship and comments and, most of all - simply caring over the years.

Meanwhile, I am continuing to walk with the dogs daily (well, at least 98% of the time - "extreme" weather does get a say.)  My eating habits are still a bit off kilter but somehow I can report a slight downward trend according to the scale.  Ever the optimist, I keep taking baby steps and making plans.  Some of them stick and some don't but at my age - I figure as long as I keep trying - it's all to the good!

And now onward we go!

  1. Onward, indeed! Hope to see you in comments if not in blogs, at least once in a while, as you, Brody, and Riley continue your adventures! Isn't there a song from our youth... "don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you got 'til it's gone. Pave paradise and put up a parking lot." Petula Clark!

  2. I found Spark similar to my neighborhood. We pass by homes, sometimes wave hello or yell a greeting. Sometimes we spill our guts then don't talk for weeks just because life is life.
